Main article: Strider (PlayStation)

Capcom Gamebooks: Strider Hiryu is a re-issue of the PlayStation port of the Arcade Strider, originally released as the 2nd disc in the PlayStation port of Strider 2. Both versions are identical in content.

The strategy guide is divided into two separate sections called Missions: "Mission 1" (pages 7 to 16) explains everything related to gameplay including controls, item descriptions, enemy profiles, the Options, basic and advanced techniques; "Mission 2" (pages 17 to 42) covers a full game walkthrough, explaining each stage in great detail with screenshots illustrating every checkpoint area. The final page includes backstory profiles for Hiryu, Grandmaster Meio and the Kuniang team.
