Capcom Gamebooks (カプコンゲームブックス) is a series of re-issues published by Capcom from 2005 to 2007 for the Sony PlayStation, covering several older ports for the console. As the name indicates, each release comes accompanied by a strategy guide featuring full-game walkthroughs, game information and various other tips.
Releases[]
- Capcom Retro Game Collection (May to July, 2005): Five releases re-printing the earlier Capcom Generations series, a 5-game compilation collecting three Arcade games per release.
- Strider Hiryu (October 24, 2006): A re-issue of the second disc from the PlayStation port of Strider 2.
- Tenchi wo Kurau II: Sekiheki no Tatakai (October 24, 2006): A re-issue of the PlayStation port of the beat-em up known as Warriors of Fate in English.
- Super Pang Collection (March 28, 2007): A re-issue of the PlayStation compilation game of the same name, known as Buster Bros. Collection in USA.
- Rockman (March 28, 2007): A re-issue of the first CD in the Rockman Complete Works series.
- Rockman 2: Dr Wily no Nazo (March 28, 2007): A re-issue of the second CD in the Rockman Complete Works series.
Strider[]

Capcom Gamebooks: Strider Hiryu is a re-issue of the PlayStation port of the Arcade Strider, originally released as the 2nd disc in the PlayStation port of Strider 2. Both versions are identical in content.
The strategy guide is divided into two separate sections called Missions: "Mission 1" (pages 7 to 16) explains everything related to gameplay including controls, item descriptions, enemy profiles, the Options, basic and advanced techniques; "Mission 2" (pages 17 to 42) covers a full game walkthrough, explaining each stage in great detail with screenshots illustrating every checkpoint area. The final page includes backstory profiles for Hiryu, Grandmaster Meio and the Kuniang team.
